Innovative SEO : Learn & Share all about SEO
Recently, Google has updated the key change for Google Analytics. Now, you can link multiple adwords account with a single Google analytics account. Recently, On 31st August,2011, Google has anounced this update on their Official Google Blog for Analytics.
Link all your Google Adwords account to Google Analytics
Earlier, if you have multiple accounts for your client in Adwords then it would be difficult to track all the cost data & adwords data into Google Analytics as you can link 1 adwords account to only 1 analytics account but now, you can link multiple Google adwords account to single Google analytics account. The new data sources section in the Google Analytics account settings area makes it easy to use auto-tagging with multiple AdWords accounts and import your AdWords data into Google Analytics. Well, In normal case you won’t need this feature but yes, If you are working for some agency or have client which was earlier working with some other company then you will surely going to love this feature. Here are 2 examples which shows how this feature can be utilized.
- If you are working for some agency then you might have more than one adwords account for same client but there will be only one google analytics account. Now this new update allows you to import cost data from both of your adwords account & check the campaign performance & keyword performance on different matrices. This will help you analyse & improve the campaign performance.
- If you are taking projects on your own then you might have faced few clients who earlier working with some other agency & now they are turning up to you for better results. Now, in this case, there may be 1 adwords account which already linked with current Google analytics account & you were not able to link with current GA account, but now, with this update you will be able to link your new adwords account with existing google analytics account of client to measure the performance on different metrics.
For setup instructions, please follow the Official Google Analytics blog.
These are just 2 examples where I feel this new feature will be very useful (specially for agencies). Have you tried this feature yet ? Share your thoguths & experiences with this new feature. It seems like with New Google Analytics, Google is adding more power to analytical scale & helping webmaster by generating more data about their website but at the same time, analyzing & interpreting data is a skill to actually make the online business profitable. Keep reading & sharing your thoughts on this as I am planign to have next blog post on Yahoo Web Analytics. Feel free to share any queries for the next topic as well, Will try to cover that in my blog post, till then keep googling
