Innovative SEO : Learn & Share All About SEO

Google seems now in a full swing to carry all the updates. Recently, we witnessed Google Panda update, then we witnessed +1 feature by Google & now, one more update by Google for Hotels / Lodging Industry. Now, we can see the real time hotel prices as we surf Google for Hotels.

Hotel Prices Ads : 3 New Google Formats

Since last 1 year, Google was testing this feature under Google Maps. Now, this feature seems going live on Google normal SERP. The 3 different formats where Google is showing these prices are,

  1. Google Maps
  2. Google Places
  3. Google Local

But, Google has clarified from Day-1 that, the prices of the Hotels will not going to have any impact on Google SERP listing. Seems, now SEO’s can not blame hotels for low ranking, lol :P

Below screen captured images shows the result.

Google Local SERP :

I think that google want to beat expedia and other hotel industries website. Or may be they want to provide singal platform for hotel ratecard so in future people visit only google.

I have a question for people who say it is great update. OK, I agree it is a good update, but what about SERP? Try google search for “hotel in amsterdam”. You will see on the top 3-4 addsense result marked as advertisment. After that, there is a list of 7 hotels from Google map, and after that list of organic results.
Question: Why Google map is placed on position 1 for eny city? If it is advertisment, it should be marked. If it is not advertisment, it means that Google favours their products without any notification. Commonly internet user does not know difference beetwen organic search and this. It is NOT ALLOWED by low because of monopol and confusing and somebody should prevent this and punish Google. I think that this is only firts step. The next we can expect from Google is beating popular hotel reservation sites (as Jitendra says).
